THE SMOKEY MOUNTAINS

The Smokey Mountains comprise one of the most picturesque landscapes in the country. Shorter than a two hour drive away, the Smokey Mountains have something for everyone to enjoy the outdoors; hiking, biking, fishing, sightseeing and more!

HOUSE MOUNTAIN

House Mountain is the highest point in Knox County at 2,064 ft., and a mere 8 miles from downtown. Offering either a steep and brief option, or a winding, less strenuous version of the hike, House Mountain is an ideal day trip for children and adults.

THE GREENWAY

The Greenway is an easily accessible web of trails that winds throughout the city of Knoxville. It consists of 86 miles of paved and natural pathways. Take your family for a walk along the Tennessee River waterfront or a meandering stroll through World’s Fair Park.
